Can’t trust Obama, Iran
The nuclear treaty with Iran is the most consequential treaty of current history.
The two principle obstacles to this treaty are that many U.S. citizens have little confidence in President Barack Obama and his confidants. No one can trust the mullahs and other Iranian leaders.
Consider what was happening during the treaty negotiations. Iran continued to provide financing and other support for terrorist attacks in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and genocidal attacks on Christians, including beheadings, crucifixions and burnings. They held mock battles against the American military. The mullahs proclaimed “the destruction of Israel is not negotiable” and “Death to America.”
A treaty with Iran under their current leadership is worthless until it renounces terrorism and nuclear weapons. Iran is only interested in removing the sanctions. Iran with nuclear weapons will create nuclear proliferation and create the probability of a nuclear war that will change our world forever.
The votes of Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell to require congressional approval of any Iranian nuclear agreement and the removal of sanctions will probably be their most important vote ever. You can be certain that if we have a treaty that it will be thorough and enforceable.
