How I Know Jet Lag Is Real
I’ve flown to Florida to enjoy time with Junior four times now in the five years he & Miss Stephanie have lived there. But this is the first time I’ve had problems bouncing back from the three-hour time difference, at both ends of the spectrum. While everyone else was hitting the sack around 9 o’clock on Florida Daylight Time, this night owl was watching the ends of West Coast baseball and NBA playoff basketball games. I couldn’t sleep for two entire nights there. We returned to the Spokane Airport at 11 p.m. Saturday. And I’ve awakened at 6 and 6:15 a.m. the last two days. Without. The. Alarm. Clock. Sounding! I have trouble rolling out of the sack before 7 on most days and then walk around in a daze at the office until the second cup of coffee kicks in. Worse yet, I was dog tired at 10 last night. So here’s the question:
Question: How long does it take you to shake off jet lag? And are there tricks to shortening the process?
