Wild Card/Thursday — 4.29.15

I’m now 1 for 2 in rescuing birds that have fallen down my chimney. Several weeks ago, I was able to corner one in the back of my wood stove and save it. But the latest escapade didn’t end so well last night. Before I could figure out how to retrieve a second starling from a small compartment at the top of the wood stove, it had died. Good thing I haven’t been burning wood this last few weeks. But I suspect I need to climb to the top of the chimney to figure out why I’m being invaded by birds. I’m getting too old for this stuff.
