No Spokane Valley City Council meeting tonight

The Spokane Valley City Council is not meeting tonight. At its last meeting, council members encouraged Valley residents to join one of the many night out against crime parties organized by area SCOPE stations and block watch groups. To find an event in your neighborhood contact your local SCOPE station.

On today’s ballot is the Spokane County library bond which would fund the new Valley Library, if it passes.

City council elections bring no contested races in Spokane Valley - here’s the lineup:

Council position 2 , Dean Grafos (running unopposed)

Council position 3 , Arne Woodard challenged by Tom Towey

Council position 6 , Ben Wick challenged by Sam Wood
