Spokane primary results: Condon, Fagan, Stratton on top

Spokane Mayor David Condon finished easily in first, and community activist Shar Lichty a comfortable second in the city primary.
Condon had nearly two-thirds of the ballots counted on election night, and Lichty had just under 25 percent. Michael Noder finished a distant third and was eliminate from the November election ballot in the top-two primary.

Incumbents Mike Fagan and Karen Stratton topped the field in their respective council races.

Fagan had nearly half the ballots in his District 1 race, but he’ll have to wait to see who will be his general election opponent. Ben Krauss and Randy Ramos were separated by a single vote after Tuesday night’s count.

Stratton topped the field in District 3 and will face Evan Verduin, who finished second with about 25 percent of the vote in the four-person race.

In the race for the open District 2 seat, LaVerne Biel was ahead of Lori Kinnear, but both had comfortable leads over John Waite.
