I’ve Never Eaten That Before

I joined other members of the SR’s Idaho staff for lunch with Managing Editor Gary Graham at Scratch @ 5th St/Sherman Ave. I hadn’t been in the building since it was a coffee shop a few years ago and before that the old Panhandle Pies restaurant. Being adventurous — and since the boss was picking up the tab — I choose something I’d never eaten before: fish tacos. I’d rate my lunch so-so — not because it was so-so but because I don’t like fish all that much. Also, the combination of fish and tacos, for some reason, doesn’t work for me. However, photographer Kathy Plonka, who has eaten and does enjoy fish tacos — rated her lunch as super. I can still taste the fish. I probably won’t eat fish tacos again, especially if I have to pay for the privilege. How about you?
