Racists Target Idaho Voters
Idaho’s registered voters were targeted last week in a robocall campaign initiated by a white supremacist group warning of an onslaught of “non-whites” on their way to Idaho. The controversial recorded message was sent out statewide Aug. 1 by the American Freedom Party, which warned Idahoans of refugees being resettled in the Gem State and asked for support for Bob Whitaker, its presidential candidate in 2016. The warning was in response to a June column by Boise Mayor David Bieter that ran in the Idaho Statesman. Bieter wrote of resettlement programs there and in Twin Falls he said help bring refugees from overseas that benefit the Idaho communities in a variety of ways/ Terri Harber , Moscow-Pullman Daily News. Question: What do you think the racists were trying to accomplish with their robo-call campaign?
