Slice Sees Region In New Light
If badmouthing Spokane and Coeur d’Alene residents is your thing, you will have to find someone else to listen to your rant. Because I
just don’t want to hear it. Not after the kindness and support shown me during and after a health setback this summer. Maybe the glow from these good vibes will not last. Perhaps I will take off my rose-tinted glasses before long. But for the time being, here is how I plan to respond to criticism of the best people in the world.
Angry reader:
“People here are morons who do not know how to drive.”
The Slice:
“People here have hearts full of love and compassion.”
Fussy reader:
“People here are the worst dressed I have ever seen.”
The Slice:
“When the situation is at its bleakest, people here are at their best”/

Question: Have you ever had a serious health issue or a close call that made you view life differently?
