Who loves traffic engineers?

This Monday, we had an article about streets, the completion of the downtown bike loop and some innovative parking on the trendy stretch of Main Avenue .

The front page had a photograph of Inga Note, a traffic planning engineer with the city of Spokane who helps design bikeways for the city.

Turns out, Spokane isn’t the only Washington municipality with cool traffic engineers.

KING 5 in Seattle had a nice little bit on Dongho Chang , a bike-riding pavement savant who tweets like mad .

The Seattle Bike Blog is clearly impressed by Chang . They said:

First up, an apology to all other cities. Dongho Chang is our Traffic Engineer, and you can’t have him. He’s a one-person answer to anyone who has lost faith in government’s ability to serve its people. He’s smart, he listens and he genuinely cares.
