Christie: CPD Taking Care Of Biz
Sgt. Christie Wood
(RE:
JohnA: Patrol Tubbs Hill better
): “The SRO’s (school resource officers) have been out all summer with active
enforcement. The Tubbs Hill area has kept the team pretty busy. They have encountered numerous individuals who were using drugs, camping, littering etc. and have cited them accordingly. The team is also responsible for the rest of the downtown area and various hot spots so they are spread pretty thin at times. Next week will be their last week on directed patrols because I need them back in the office with me to prepare for our return to the schools. We squeeze in a lot of mandatory training and get our equipment ready the week before school starts. Our patrol division will still be monitoring activity in the downtown area and responding appropriately. Chief White has a few ideas in mind to improve on next year so hopefully you will see a CAT team every year.”
