Reporter Jeff Selle of the Coeur d’Alene Press hoisted the starter flag this AM in a story re: the upcoming municipal elections in Kootenai County. The filing begins Monday. Now, banker Steve Griffitts has taken that one step further by announcing that he will run for mayor of Hayden with the blessing of current Mayor Ron McIntire. The political chess pieces are beginning to move. The county fair, of course, starts next week. And I’ll have some tickets to give away for free entrance then. Per usual.
