Deal bigger than Iran, U.S.

There has been a great deal of discussion about Iran receiving billions of dollars if the Iran nuclear deal goes into effect. Unless the U.S. blows up all Iranian and Iraqi oil and gas facilities, Iran will receive multibillions no matter what action is taken by the U.S. Congress.

If Congress rejects the nuclear pact, countries to the east and north of Iran and Iraq will stop holding up in the contest over oil and gas supplies. They will have no interest in supporting a lone cowboy sanction effort by the United States. India, China, Pakistan (financed by China) and Japan have the billions for Iranian energy sources.

What will nearby Russia and Pakistan do if the U.S. drops 30,000-pound bombs on Iran’s nuclear energy facilities? Iran’s top general has already journeyed to Moscow to discuss matters with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials. This is not just an Iran-Kerry deal. It has been approved by 97 countries.
