Here’s SR Policy RE: Gratuities

Here’s the SR policy re: gratuities:

“Gifts of significant value, meals, cars or use of cars, liquor, beer, wine, tickets and lodging will not be accepted or solicited, unless they are for review purposes. Gifts of significant value will be returned to the donor with an explanation of our policy. Where it is impractical to return a gift, it will be given to charity. Gifts of insignificant value – key chains, calendars, small food items, pens – may be kept if it is awkward to return them. If you’re not sure what’s significant or insignificant, talk it over with an editor. A small potting of daffodils from a neighborhood garden club happy you noted their 50th anniversary might be fine to keep, but not the $100 bouquet from a developer you’ve been covering.”
