Sanders speaks the truth

Sen. Bernie Sanders is a candidate like we haven’t seen in a long time. His platform is focused on real issues, not political rhetoric, distraction and spin. Bernie has been working hard for middle-class Americans since the 1970s.

He represents honest, powerful leadership that is resonating with millions of Americans because he sheds light upon the reality of the mess our “leaders” have created while the rest of the candidates are typically engaged in name-calling, avoiding arrest and dealing with “the Donald,” the biggest clown of all.

The gilded class has trampled the rights of citizens like you and me in favor of corporate personhood and Citizens United’s billionaires buying democracy. Multinational corporations have shoved international trade agreements down our collective throats. They outsource our jobs and provide tax breaks to those same corporations for doing so.

Meanwhile, it’s perfectly legal for those same entities to hide trillions in nontaxable profits offshore while our infrastructure and social safety nets disintegrate before our eyes.

Finally, we have a candidate that is speaking the truth of what’s wrong, why it’s wrong, and what we need to do to change it. I’m proud to say I’m supporting Bernie Sanders for president in 2016.
