Dan English makes candidacy official

It should come as no surprise that former Kootenai County clerk Dan English has filed as a candidate for a Coeur d’Alene City Council seat this fall. In a Facebook post, English writes:

“Well, I’m in. So far in the Coeur d’Alene city council race there are just a pair of Dans that have been played, myself and Dan Gookin but for different seats. A long ways until the filing period ends a week from Friday but I’m all fired up and ready to go.”

English will run against Councilman Steve Adams, who is known for opposing any expenditure that has federal money attached to it.
