Is Gookin worthy of 2nd term?

On May 31, 2013, Councilman Dan Gookin accompanied Mary Souza to the waterfront as Souza announced her bid for Coeur d'Alene mayor. Souza was beaten handily by Steve Widmyer for the mayor's spot in the fall election. But then bounced back to beat John Goedde to become Coeur d'Alene's state senator. Dan Gookin announced his bid for election to a second term on the Coeur d’Alene City Council, Seat 3. Gookin was first elected in 2011. “Four years ago, I promised as your councilman to welcome input from everyone, to scrutinize the budget, and to provide a high level of oversight and accountability. I would like to continue doing so on behalf of the citizens and taxpayers of Coeur d’Alene,” Gookin said in a press release. One of Gookin’s goals for his next term is to transfer control of the city’s urban renewal agency from an unelected board to the City Council. “As has been done elsewhere in the state, I believe we can add accountability and oversight to economic development by having the City Council act as the urban renewal board,” he said in the release/ Coeur d’Alene Press . Question: Are you more/less impressed by Gookin today than you were four years ago when he took office?
