Paul Bunyan Days cancels fireworks
Over the weekend, the St. Maries Paul Bunyan Days committee announced that the fireworks show that is normally displayed during the
event has been cancelled due to the extreme fire danger. The decision to the cancel the show comes from the fear that the display may start more or add to the many fires that are currently burning near the city of St. Maries and the rest of the state. The largest of these fires near the city is the Marble Creek Fire, which has grown to over 1000 acres in size and is currently zero percent contained/
