Beware: Area Agency on Aging scam

The Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho has asked the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office to advise the public to be aware of a scam they have recently learned of. Telephone calls to our senior citizens from a company stating they are from the “Area Agency on Aging” are stating they are giving away Medical Alert Systems and other type products. The Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho wants the public to know that they do not participate in these types of promotions and to be aware of this scam using their company name.
