Taking Pride in school
I don’t understand why our court justices want to take away the choice of going to a public charter school. This is my story of why I chose Pride Prep School.
My past schooling years consisted of too many kids in one classroom. Sometimes 30 kids. The school work was the same for everyone, not personalized to my learning style like Pride Prep.
I enjoy having smaller classrooms and more to do. I love being able to go to my mentor for help and advice for my questions and work. With my past schooling, I was always done and wanting more challenging work, or it was way too hard and I was looking for an explanation and not getting it.
Last year, I barely got to learn my favorite subject, math, so I’ve come to Pride with few seventh-grade math skills. Now my mentor knows just how to teach me, and how I need to be taught. Yes, there are longer school days, but it is just more time to learn what I need to know in the real world.
Thank you Pride Prep!
