Twin Lakes helps wind storm victim

A Twin Lakes man who was injured when a tree fell on his car during the historic wind storm Nov. 17 is still recovering from his injuries Monday in Western Washington. Jordan Simon, 22, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment for a spinal cord injury. Since his injury, dozens of friends and businesses have come together to help remodel his home and make it wheelchair accessible. Simon’s uncle, Marcus Carr said he has been working on the construction. He said it is the most important construction job he has ever worked. What used to be a family room will now be Jordan’s private room. His former bedroom is being converted into an accessible bathroom and a concrete wheelchair ramp is going out front. The plan is to have Jordan home by the end of this month/ Taylor Viydo , KREM 2.
