No complaint
I have read so many articles and letters to the editor regarding the handling of the Monique Cotton/Frank Straub situation that I am being overwhelmed by the bias and slant involved.
The primary fact that seems to keep disappearing in this story is that Cotton refused to file a complaint. Take away whether you like Mayor David Condon, or whether you would have voted for his opponent if you knew about this situation: There was no complaint.
I read a letter Dec. 5 from a professional woman in a male-dominated field. She was trying to make this a male/female issue. This is a matter of there was no complaint. Once there was a letter of complaint, from his leadership personnel, Chief Frank Straub was asked for his resignation.
Get a grip, Spokane.
