Truth worth pursuing

Regarding the Nov. 28 letter from Michael Poulin: Is he implying that the terrorist/ISIS issue is being contrived or manufactured by our own leaders? That would mean that CNN and the rest are lying.

In this age of information, we are blessed to have the Internet, and other tools such as the Freedom of Information Act to seek the facts and truth and do our own research. The tomes of information, disinformation, evidence, conspiracy theories and falsehoods available are astounding, and well worth the homework on most any subject.

I’ve considered writing a book about my findings. The publisher would have a rough time putting my book in a category though: fiction, nonfiction, sci-fi or fantasy? Maybe we should all just sit down, turn on the tube and trust everything we observe as fact, or take the effort to educate ourselves before George Orwell’s predictions manifest? The truth may still set us free.
