McMorris Rodgers capitulates
In October, we heard the Republican leadership sound like brave warriors promising to fight and defeat President Obama with all their might. Yet, just days after the election, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and her colleagues capitulated by voting to fully fund Obamacare, his illegal amnesty and unconstitutional policies (HR 83). To distract from these facts (deceive?), Cathy promotes only the “good” government programs that were funded.
Listen to McMorris Rodgers long enough, and you find a common theme: Her solutions to our problems are government programs, government services or government payments. In other words, more government. McMorris Rodgers has forgotten that what’s best for her district and America is a government constrained by the Constitution, not one that enslaves and constrains citizens.
McMorris Rodgers supported Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty by voting to fully fund it. She claims our immigration system is broken. Immigration laws aren’t broken; it’s the Congress and president refusing to follow the laws that’s broken.
Did Washington’s 5th District vote to be enslaved by an unconstitutional government, the kind being promoted by the congresswoman and her colleagues? Or did we elect representatives who will uphold their sworn oath by ensuring our government is constrained by our Constitution?
