Dollars for education used wisely

When children arrive at our elementary schools, we offer the academics they need to succeed in life and the programs they need to promote social and emotional growth.

We provide all-day kindergarten in every school. Class size in grades K-2 has been reduced. After-school sports have returned after a decade-long hiatus. A full-time counselor serves every school. Next year, the elementary school day will be extended to provide students additional learning opportunities based on the interests of the community. How is this funded? Through levy dollars.

Bond equals building. As our schools age, we must provide facility replacements and upgrades to ensure that students learn in safe, modern environments. As we prepare students for jobs that have yet to be created, they must have ample access to technology and adequate infrastructure to support their learning. How is this funded? Through bond dollars.

Levy equals learning. Bonds equal building. Our students and community need and deserve both. Vote yes by Feb. 10 to ensure that Spokane Public Schools can continue to offer vital programs within safe, modern facilities so our children become the productive citizens of tomorrow.
