TGIF Wild Card — 2.6.15

Sometimes, I like to stir things up, simply to get the blood pumping. That wasn’t my intention when I started counting the trees, upright and fallen, along the Dike Road over the last two weeks during my noon and weekend walks. It simply dawned on me that a whole lot more were being toppled than originally advertised. The city’s caught between a rock and a hard place in trying to appease the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and maintain beauty to which we’re accustomed. Bottom line? Probably too many trees were cut. Too little warning re: increased cut. The viewscape is still viewtiful. Now if we can only eliminate parking permanently from the Dike Road … Here’s your TGIF Wild Card …
