Yes vote brings value

Our community in the past has come together to support kids in Spokane Public Schools by voting yes on levies and bonds, and it has made a ton of difference in our schools. As a parent, I have seen levy or learning dollars at work by shrinking class sizes and increases in technology use, art classes, music, athletics, drumming/dancing and other after-school programs.

Also with the help of levy and bond dollars, highly capable students have access to a once-a-week enrichment program, Tessera, or the opportunity to go to Odyssey, a full-day gifted program for grades 5 through 8. Programs like these add such value to a student’s education.

Lastly, I have seen bond or building funds used for major replacements and modernizations to our schools, as well as smaller projects like new carpet, paint, roofing and gym floors. Also, bond dollars are used to make sure our schools are safe and secure.

Spokane, please choose to continue to support our kids and vote yes for the Spokane Public Schools replacement levy and bond.
