ITD Rules Frustrate Semi Drivers

Dozens of North Idaho truck drivers said they are concerned with some temporary rules affecting state highways. In January, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) began imposing limits on how fast semis can go on some highways and how much they can haul. It is a result of mild weather and the rules are designed to protect the road. When truck driver Ashlee Surber loads up her semi and travels on highway 53 near Hauser, the temporary rules from the Idaho Transportation Department only allow her to go 30-miles-per-hour.
