Campaign spending outrageous

I shall never understand, nor agree with, spending billions on presidential campaigns (“Koch network’s 2016 budget nearly $1 billion”). Billions! When too many Americans struggle just to get by?

That is, in my opinion, ludicrous, shameful and outrageous. Such spending for a cause that too many of us are already disgusted with guarantees sour thoughts toward any and all candidates, and total disregard for anything they say, which most always turn out to be lies, and a promise to myself to pay as little attention to those campaigns as possible.

Am I the Lone Ranger with this thinking?
