Tubbs Hill ‘Paddler’
Long before “Jurassic Park,” there apparently was “The Paddler,” which haunted the edges of Tubbs Hill as late as 1957. Keith D. Boe of the Old School North Idaho Facebook page said he found this postcard of “The Paddler” in his Grampa’s old shoebox — “sorta, haha.” Writes Keith: “Has anyone ever heard of have any information on ‘The Paddler,’, a Loch Ness type Sea Monster? As far as I know, there wasn’t one in the Coeur d’Alene but I am told there was a Loch Ness Monster type thing called, “The Paddler” in the Pend Oreille. Apparently, as I am told, the Pend Oreille Paddler goes back to Native American times. Does anyone have any more information or links about the subject? I am most interested in any type of older Native American lore abo ut too. ” You can see Keith’s Old School North Idaho Facebook wall here .
Question: Anyone out there seen “The Paddler”? Sober?
