Councilman ignores facts
We have a representative government, and everyone should have a voice. It appears that the ignorant of Spokane are well-represented on the City Council. “Ignorant” is derived from the word “ignore,” which Webster’s defines as: “to disregard, pay no attention to.”
Councilman (Mike) Fagan has decided to disregard the facts about immunization in order to advance his contention that “aliens” have caused the measles outbreak. Having listened to Fagan on other issues, he probably is referring to space aliens. Regardless of who brought measles to Disneyland, no one would have gotten the disease if they had all been immunized.
The ignorant are their own worst enemies, but unfortunately they put at risk immuno-suppressed children and infants who are not old enough to have completed their full series of shots.
