Enact studded tire permit

I agree completely with The Spokesman-Review Feb. 10 editorial regarding a requirement for a permit in order to use studded tires in Washington.

The issuance of a permit will do nothing to make our roads safer from ruts that cause cars to veer to one side or the other, or ruts that fill with water, freeze and then become a hazard to all of us. It will help make those who cause the damage repair the roads and highways.

It is time our elected officials enact this no-brainer and make us all safer by passing this use permit.
