Blast From Past: North Shore

How about an Old School North Idaho two-fer today? Keva Wolfe posted this photo of Bob Templin’s old North Shore Resort, on the site of the current Coeur d’Alene Resort. No telling when the photo by Ross Hall was taken. But it certainly was before Templin added the tower that included the old Cloud 9 restaurant at the top. The first restaurant meal that I ate in Coeur d’Alene was at the old Cloud 9 as part of a management team from the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, Mont., headed by the late Hagadone newspaper publisher C. Patrick King. We were attending a managment conference for Hagadone newspapers somewhere around 1980.
