National Weather Service forecaster Jon Fox this morning captured an unusual altocumulus cloud formation to the east of Spokane. The elongated holes and white mass of puffy clouds is caused by ice crystals from jetliner exhaust dropping through the lower cloud formation, creating what’s known as a “punch hole clouds.” SR story here.
