Morrisroe To Seek Hamilton Seat

News Release: Casey Morrisroe, 39, of Hayden, officially filed paperwork this week to run for Coeur d’ Alene School District 271 School Board Trustee Zone 2, a seat currently filled by Tom Hamilton. Morrisroe, a Hayden and Coeur d’Alene resident since the 4th grade, is an active member of the community. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the District’s Long Range Planning committee and on the Board of Directors for Sting Premier Soccer Club. “I believe that I am the right person, at the right time, running for the right reasons. I have no hidden agenda, I care about our youth,” said Morrisroe. “I have extensive experience working with the public, developing and dealing with policy, creating and managing a budget, preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing human resources. I also have the experience of working with a diverse group of people to reach a common goal.” More here.

DFO: Nice to see someone stepping up to run for seat now held by former CSD chairman Tom Hamilton, who may feel rather of Hayden Meadows Elementary parents for leading charge to dump popular PYP program. Morrisroe twice applied for openings on the school board but was passed over for ubercon candidates. Sorta like Christa Hazel. Thoughts?
