Everything possible needs to be done to maximize the effectiveness of the available financial resources – e.g., reducing administrative costs that tend to balloon beyond initial projections. Also the academic, financial and political sectors need to realize that some of their ambitions need to yield to some more statesman-like thinking in order to achieve the broadest benefits.
