Blame misguided

Wow, it’s hard to imagine how upset Jim Barbieri (“Obama has weakened America,” Dec. 28) would be with this president if unemployment was above 8 percent, if affordable health insurance still wasn’t available to over 40 million Americans, if hundreds of thousands of soldiers were still fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, if the deficit wasn’t falling, if the economy wasn’t on an upswing, if the Dow was under 9,000, if gas prices were near $4 per gallon, if Osama bin Laden was still alive.

I’m still trying to wrap my brain around how in the world President Obama has divided blacks against whites, women against men and Americans against Mexicans. Could you be confusing Obama with the 113th Congress, Jim?
