Llamas ward off wolves

In a Dec. 22 story from NPR, a group of nuns run a ranch in Colorado. The Abbey of St. Walburga has cattle, a water buffalo and llamas. Their natural-bred beef is the money maker. The protection against predators: the llamas. They have seen them chase a mountain lion off the property. They disembowel enemies with their front legs.

Our local ranchers could add some llamas to their herds as natural, 24/7 protection for their valuable herds. Plus, they could harvest wool from the llamas.
