Sen. Davis to head up international panel for Council of State Governments
Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, has been named co-chair of the Council of State Governments’ International Committee for 2015, along with Alaska Sen. Gary Stevens. Davis was CSG’s national chair in 2009. The organization’s International Committee tracks international trends of importance to state governments and identifies best practices among state international programs. States have opened more than 200 export promotion offices worldwide; Idaho operates trade offices in China, Southeast Asia and Mexico. The committee also oversees exchange programs and research projects.
