Police: No Child Enticement
A report of a possible child enticement at Coeur d’Alene McDonalds, involving a transient, is a result of a misunderstanding, according to Coeur d’Alene Police Department spokesman Sgt. Christie Wood. After viewing a video of the incident at the Appleway restaurant, CPD detectives contacted the adult male involved in the call and decided that he was a transient with “diminished mental capacities.” No charges will be filed in the incident. “We appreciate, and commend the mother of the child for calling police, and giving us an opportunity to assess the situation in order to keep children safe from harm,” Wood said.
