Former Planner Gary Young, RIP

From Kerri Thoreson’s Facebook wall: “Gary Young passed away over the weekend after a battle with cancer. Gary had an impact on Post Falls via his tenure as the City’s Planning director for many years and then his next venture as landscape architect/land use planner for Verdis. Gary designed the water features on the I-90 on/off ramps and was one of the designers of the Spokane Street revitalization project, working with the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency. Those blue candlesticks on the lamp posts that have been the talk of the town this month were Gary’s recommendation. Condolences to his family and friends.”
