Doc: Ironman Over Hydros

The hydroplane races last year were a disaster. Trees cut down for “better views,” people on public property being harassed to pay the organizers, and the organizers taking their sweet time cleaning up their mess. (Did they ever clean it up?). I’d be happy if they never hold another hydroplane race. They trashed the lake for a few hours of NASCAR-on-water. Ironman is fun to watch and great for the community. And the race is entirely human-powered, which I prefer to the obnoxious noise and fumes from the hydroplanes, anyhow.

Question: Which event would you prefer in Coeur d’Alene — Hydroplane races or IronmanCDA?
