Lynch Mum In Dealing w/Press

Sports columnist Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times discusses the cold shoulder treatment to the media: “I was pretty right, as it turned out, in how the game Sunday would go, picking Seattle to win 21-13 and predicting they’d do so thanks in part to its defense. But I was really wrong in one thing that happened afterward — how much people would care about whether Marshawn Lynch talks to the media and what he would say. For the fourth time this year, Lynch talked to the media — doing so to ward off a $100,000 fine that he is appealing. As as been incredibly well-documented, he said nothing of substance, answering mostly ‘yeah’ to every question.” More here.

Question: Do you think talented running back Marshawn Lynch is within his right to refuse to talk to the media (even at the cost of a $100,000 fine leveled by the NFL)? Or is he simply being a jerk?
