She Brought Prez Obama To Idaho
How many students can say they did a classroom assignment that helped bring the president to their hometown - and then got a selfie with the guy? Meet Bella Williams, a 13-year-old from North Junior High. Her assignment last spring, when she was in sixth grade at Washington Elementary, was to write a letter to one of her heroes with an invitation to visit Boise. She wrote to Michelle Obama. “I told them I admire them as a happy, healthy family,” Bella told the Statesman. The Obamas hung on to that letter, and when the president came to Boise on Wednesday, he invited Bella and her mom, Davette, to his speech. He met with Bella backstage. “He said he really liked my letter,” Bella said/ Bill Roberts , Idaho Statesman. More here . (Idaho Statesman/AP photo: Darin Oswald)
Question: Do you really think that Bella’s letter was the only thing that brought President Obama to Idaho?
