OLYMPIA — It’s a relatively slow Friday in the capital, but a bill with major changes to the drunk or drugged driving laws gets its first hearing in the House Public Safety Committee.

HB 1276 is sort of a grab-all of impaired driving provisions, from changes to the interlock ignition devices to a ban on having open containers of marijuana in a vehicle while driving.

Other than that, legislators who are here can expect to get out by lunchtime.
