Respect what is sacred

Religion has been the justification of more murder, wars and suffering than any other mindset. Nazism was, in a sense, a religion. One man’s messiah is the butt of a joke to the next man.

Tailored respect should be afforded that which is sacred to others even if it isn’t to you. Freedom to parody is sacred to the French, yet the Paris magazine disrespected. There is a free press without insulting the sacred cows of unstable politico-religious radicals. Why provoke the material?

All of us, every human and animal, are bound together on a tiny speck of a blue orb hurtling through infinite space. All theological arguments are only attempts to know God. God put us all here in this global sandbox. Can’t we learn to play nice by the Golden Rule? We are all one family.

Looking for God? He’s looking back at you in the eyes of every living thing on this planet, in the beauty of every facet of the jewel we call Earth. The only address all men and all their religions share forever in common. Respect what is sacred to others. All life and this planet are sacred to me.
