On The Waterfront

Greg Lee & I counted a few more dozen trees that gave their lives to the Street Department buzz saws since our noon walk Monday. The city crews are concentrating their buzzsaws in the area above the North Idaho College volleyball sand courts east to Hubbard Ave. The crews are toppling the bull pine onto the Dike Road (Rosenberry Drive). The road remains blocked. Greg & I made detoured around the tree thinning by taking to the beach today. On the west side, along the Spokane River, crews are pulling out stumps and removing trees that have been thinned in last 24 hours. You can access that side by foot. But parking for North Idaho College has been eliminated from the entire Dike Road this week.
