No Delavan Decision Today

Kootenai County commissioners have scheduled a public meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, to further discuss the possibility of rehiring former airport manager Greg Delavan. The board met in executive session to discuss the matter this morning. No decision was made today. Chairman David Stewart explained that commissioners have delayed the decision for a week because they will be in Boise next Tuesday through Thursday. Stewart was fired last fall on a 2-1 vote of the former commissioners. Commissioner Dan Green, the only holdover from that board, voted to fire Stewart. However, the two new commissioners, Stewart and Marc Eberlein, said during their successful campaigns that they would rehire him if they found nothing to prevent them from doing so.
