Paper Defends ‘Ad No Words’ Ad
At KBOI, reporter Eric Gonzalez writes: “A sticky note ad that speaks out against the Add the Words bill was on the front page of the Idaho Statesman Wednesday. The ad stated, Add No Words, Stand up to bullying!’ The paper says the ad went out to 41,000 papers in circulation. Lance Wells, who placed the ad, says he is not in favor of making the change to add Sexual Orientation’ and ‘Gender Identity’ to the Idaho Human Rights Act. ‘Coverage has been slanted in one direction for most sources,’ Wells said. Wells says he is just standing up for his right to speak against adding the words. He says, so far, the feedback has been negative.” More here.
Question: Should the Idaho Statesman have run the “Add No Words” ad on its front page?
