Just Wondering …

I’m wondering if ignite cda (the urban renewal agency formerly known as Lake City Development Corp) is catching guff for re-branding because, among other things, Coeur d’Alene residents are tired of the rebrandings? I don’t like Kootenai Health all that much. The hospital will remain KMC, or Kootenai Medical Center, for me for awhile yet. I know. I know. Kootenai Health is so much more than the hospital. It took me awhile to get used to Avista way back when. Then, it’s easier to say that Washington Water Power Co. I’ve adjusted to Verizon and other rebrandings. But I’m among those who adapt slowly to some changes. Also, I suspect, vocal urban renewal critics are in the forefront of the vocal rebranding opposition because they will oppose the concept of urban renewal, Coeur d’Alene style, no matter what it’s called/ DFO.
