Borders To Seek Post Falls Seat
Lynn Borders announced he will seek election in November to Post Falls City Council seat No. 5. The seat is currently held by Skip Hissong, who is retiring. “I believe in structured, managed and controlled growth and will consider issues on their own merits and values to the community,” Borders said in his announcement. Borders has 37 years of public service experience in local government. He was hired as the first full-time fire inspector for Post Falls in January 1981. Borders became fire chief of the Post Falls Fire Protection District in 1984. Following a consolidation, he became fire chief of Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, a position he held until his retirement in 2009/ Coeur d’Alene Press . More here .
